The Attorney General of the Republic of Kenya on 24 th October, 2016 appointed Ms.Catherine A. Ochanda as an alternate member under section 6 (2) (c) of the Kenya School of Law Act No. 12 of 2012.
Ms. Ochanda holds a Masters in Law in Advance Legislative Studies from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies University of London, a Postgraduate Degree from the Kenya School of Law and a Bachelors of Law degree from the University of Nairobi. She has certificates in Legislative Drafting from the Institute of Advance Legal Studies, University of London and Commonwealth, and has undergone the Senior Management Course at the Kenya School of Government.
She has over ten years’ experience in Legislative Drafting having started as a Parliamentary Counsel II and is currently a Deputy Chief Parliamentary Counsel with the State Law Office. She has worked in various capacities in different law reform exercises initiated by the Attorney General for example the Parastatal Reforms Implementing Committee and Participated in the Preparation of the Mwongozo, Code of Conduct for State Corporations.
