1. Course Overview

1.1 Introduction

The Kenya School of Law invites applications from qualified candidates to pursue the Certified Secretaries (CS) Course.
Intakes are offered in January, May, and September, aligned with KASNEB examination cycles (April, August, December).

1.2 Why Take the CS Course?

The CS qualification prepares professionals for roles in corporate governance, compliance and advisory services.

Upon completion, learners will be able to:

  • Apply principles of corporate governance
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks
  • Manage board and organizational meetings effectively
  • Provide consultancy and advisory services
  • Handle governance and compliance audits
  • Manage boardroom dynamics

2. Fee Structure & Duration

Note: Fees exclude KASNEB registration, examination and exemption charges (Contact KASNEB)

3. Course Structure & Exemptions

The course is divided into three levels: Foundation, Intermediate, and Advanced.
Exemptions apply to LL.B graduates and Advocates based on experience.

4. Entry Requirements

  • KCSE Mean Grade C+ or equivalent
  • KACE with required passes
  • KASNEB Diploma/Professional Certificates
  • Recognized University Degree
  • IGCSE (Minimum C in 6 subjects)
  • Other KASNEB-approved qualifications

5. Mode of Delivery

Virtual classes conducted:

  • Weekdays: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Saturdays (as scheduled)

Application Process

  1. If you are not registered, create an account using the registration link below.
  2. Activate your account using the link sent to your email.
  3. Log in to the application portal.
  4. Select “Certified Secretaries – New Application.”
  5. Fill in the application form and attach all required documents.
  6. Submit the application.
  7. You will be prompted to pay a non-refundable application fee of KES 2,000.
  8. Complete the payment and finalize submission.
