The library is divided into various sections. These are,

1.The Reserve Section

The section is located next to circulation desk.It houses few copies of books on high demand. More copies of the books are in the open shelves as well. These books are not borrowed out of the library.

The reserve section, also has laws of Kenya, copies of the Constitution and some subject files.

2. The Open Shelves / Reading Area

This is the entire area on the left after the stairs. The books in this area can be borrowed out for a period of one week except Law Reports and Dictionaries.

3.Special Collection

This is the room on the first floor, on the right after the stairs. This section has; Laws of Kenya, Special Reports from various Commissions, Dictionaries, Training materials for Continuing Professional Development and other non Law core materials

4.The Electronic Resource Center

This is located on the first floor of the library.The area is used for study and research.Library rules apply here too. Downloading of obscene materials, watching of movies or playing of music is not allowed.

5.Media Lounge

This is located on the ground floor of the library. It houses Daily Newspapers and Magazines.No material is supposed to be removed from this room except with authority from library staff.

SERVICES

The Kenya School of Law Library offers the following Services

a)    Photocopying
i.    Photocopying services are available at Kshs 2/- per page.
ii.    Books may be photocopied to a limited extent while observing the Copyright Law
iii.    Advance booking is required for items with 10 pages and above, using the form available at the front desk.

b)    Printing
i.    Printing is available at Kshs 5/- per page

c)    Scanning
Scanning is available at a cost of sh. 25 per page for students and sh. 40 for non-students

d)    Binding
Binding services (Spiral binding) are available at 50/- for up to 50 sheets and 100/- for between 50 sheets and 100 sheets.

e)    Reference
The Library has an online reference service that allows clients to submit reference questions to library staff, who provide personalized assistance to library users in accessing suitable information resources to meet their needs.

As part of reference, please note that we have past papers for ATP, Paralegal and Pre-Bar.
